BACKGROUND There are several social networking sites, but few that are family focused. Play Date is aimed at parents for the use of finding specific play groups for their children.

To be able to offer a customized play experience for children in the community.
Often parents rely on friends to find play group for their children. This app will allow par-ents to connect with other parents in their community to find play groups with customized criteria offering their children a positive play experience.

Play Date would have a parent site that generated revenue through advertisers and sponsors. The mobile version of the site would be offered free of cost.

Meet Donna and David. They have been married for eight years and are the proud parents of a seven year old girl named Sadie.
They recently moved to the Seattle Area and are working on setting up their new social network. Donna has looked in to using meet up for play groups but needs something that caters to her daughters age group and her hobbies.
Since Donna and David are new to the area hav-ing a mobile option that offers a map view would be an optimum choice for them.
Meet Dillion, a single dad living and working in Seattle.
He has shared custody of his three years old son, Cory. He has time with his son every other weekend.
His ex-wife lives three hours away from the city so Cory’s social group has not been well estab-lished in the Seattle area.
Dillion would like an app that is easy to use and in which he could find play groups that are focused on his sons age group.

Cindy is a five year old girl who loves to play music and dance. They have lived in the Seattle area all of Cindy’s life and have been part of the community and several different play groups.
Taylor has a well established social circle for Cindy, but realizes that she could give back. Taylor would like an app that would easily allow her to set up play group events for other kids
