Study about Interfaces in Air systems Support

Ø Context§ Governmental LIS convergence measure and ensuing goals and plans.§ Interoperability problems : « handwork » exchange files, double entries,

data lack, risk of errors and loss of reliability…§ Need to rationalize and improve data exchange, integrating business

specificities (internal optimization) without omitting external information needs, commands, orders and afferent data sharing.

Ø At the end of 2015, decision to launch a strategic study about the opportunity to develop an automated, shared generic interface § To control technical and logistic information (reliability, integrity, fluidity…)§ Learning lessons from ground systems support similar measure.§ Relying on a study focused on Rafale support information system. § Opening on main aeronautics support IS to build a realistic roadmap for a

business interface based upon a common standard.

Study’s steps

§ Step 1 - Current and target map of the governmental aeronautics support informationsystems, using a standard mapping toolshowing in a same business frameworkappliances connected by functional data flows.

§ Step 2 - Business data exchange requirements collection to define the data flows content and characteristics - use cases.

§ Step 3 - Analysis of data exchange requirements coverage by the use of standards :

Ø ASD specifications for businesses ;Ø PLCS standard for data exchanges.

§ Step 4 - Build of the roadmap including :Ø Technical and financial estimates ;Ø Potential precursor or leading programs.
