A Note from the Pastor...

What a great time of worship we had this week at PRBC! It was a blessing to see so many children serving in our church. We are blessed to have so many dedicated children’s ministry staff, MDO workers, preschool workers, and children’s ministry volunteers. Thank you all for making our Children’s Ministry Day so special.

For the past few months, PRBC has been involved in an exciting endeavor that we have called Vision Discovery. The staff, the lay leaders and the members of our congregation have prayed and worked together to identify the kind of church that God is calling us to be. Our purpose was not to set out a strategic plan for our future, but rather to discover God’s plan for our future.

We have worked to simplify the activities of the church by clarifying the purpose of the things that we do. In the future, we will be able to clearly communicate why we do the things that we do and why we do not do some things. These are genuinely exciting days for PRBC.

This Sunday, we will probably have our last vision discovery meeting. At this meeting, we will tie up the loose ends and complete the work that we started in the summer. I am so thankful for the people who have met, prayed, pondered, discussed, and synergized through this process. I would like to personally invite you to this final meeting Sunday at 4:30 in the Fellowship Hall because we need your input and insight. The more people we have involved in this process, the better the end result will be.

God is doing a great work at PRBC, and I am expecting that He will continue to do even greater things. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at worship. Bring someone with you.

Dr. Josh Cook
