During June, July and August, your child will make new friends while participating in fun summer adventures. They will also keep their minds active and prepared for school with our exceptional curriculum and specially designed programs.

Toddler and Early Preschool Programs Ages 12-36 monthsNot only will your Toddler or Early Preschool child explore books, but they will also make adventures come to life through The Children’s Courtyard’s Storybook Summer. This program offers up to 12 weeks of rich curriculum focusing on classic and traditional children’s literature. Flip to the next page to read more.

Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Programs Ages 3-5 yearsStart your Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten child on an early path to success with Great Beginnings, Great Results. From developing math and literacy skills to improving critical thinking abilities, this program will prepare your child for growth in elementary school and beyond. But don’t tell them they’ll also be having fun while participating in the exciting activities outlined on page 5.

STAAR School Readiness ProgramA STAAR School Readiness program is also available for Pre-Kindergarteners. Each day, teachers will provide daily learning experiences in math, science and/or literacy through special educational activities to help keep your child’s mind sharp – all summer long!

Week of June 11thDiscover creatures that live in our oceans and ponds through Baby Beluga by Raffi and In the Small, Small Pond by Denise Fleming.

Week of June 18thUncover caterpillars, butterflies, ladybugs and other insects, while enjoying the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and Ten Little Ladybugs by Melanie Gerth.

Week of June 25thLearn about farm and city life while traveling with characters from Spot Goes to the Farm by Eric Hill and Thomas the Tank Engine by Wilbert Awdry.

Week of July 2ndUse large muscles to knock down Humpty Dumpty by Kim Eagel and dance in the meadow with Jamberry by Bruce Degen.

Week of July 9thExplore emotions by making bunny faces and imitating facial expressions in mirrors while reading Guess How much I Love You by Sam McBratney and My Friend Rabbit by Eric Rohmann.

Weeks of June 18th and June 25thUse math and problem solving skills to investigate how plants grow, learn how to make a garden and explore farm life during In the Garden and on the Farm.

Week of July 2nd Discover an interest in American history as we uncover what makes the American flag and other patriotic items special during America and Me.

Weeks of July 9th and July 16th Develop early math skills, phonemic awareness and alphabet recognition during 1, 2, Colors and Alphabet Too!

Weeks of July 23rd and July 30thExplore favorite ways to travel and more during Ride, Fly and Sail. Write stories about adventures and determine the fastest modes of transportation after creating a car, train or plane.

Weeks of August 6th and August 13thGet out the bug catcher and magnify glass during The Bugs of the World! Why are they important? Find out while charting findings from home and school, learning what different bugs eat and exploring bug life cycles.
