C O L E L I G H T I N G

Cole Plugging Boxes provide protected

enclosures for electrical devices in floors and

walls. They are suitable for both high and low

voltage devices, which can be furnished with the

box or installed later by a contractor.

Floor models have covers which are suitable

for foot and other normal traffic loads. Most

models offer cord slots which allow the cover to

be flat while still having the required cords exit

the box. Various models have been developed

for theatrical stages, conference rooms, multi-

purpose facilities, gymnasiums, retail sales, and

convention centers.

Wall models have a lock to prevent use

by unauthorized persons. These models are

frequently used in hospitals, civic buildings,

churches and schools, where they are particu-

larly suited for outdoor assembly areas.

Modified or custom Plugging Boxes may also

be developed to meet your exact specifications.

310 SERIESRecessed Wall Box

DescriptionThe 310 Series Plugging Boxes are recessed wall mounted enclosures designed for the temporary connection of electrical devices in interior or exterior applications.

FeaturesThe 310 Series Plugging Boxes have a locking cover to assure protection from improper or un-authorized use. Key is removable only when lock is in "locked" position. Open cover will not fully close without use of key, permitting custodian to tell at a glance whether unit is open or locked. A barrier in the wiring area allows mixed voltage devices within the enclosure.

ApplicationsThe 310 Series Plugging Boxes are appropri-ate in schools, churches, hospitals and civic buildings for connection of lighting, sound and service appliance equipment.

DescriptionThe TLR Series Plugging Boxes are recessed floor mounted enclosures designed for the tem-porary connection of electrical devices in interior concrete pour installations. The unique design provides a smooth finished appearance when not in service, with no removable parts.

FeaturesThe natural satin brass cover rotates from the smooth out-of-service position to a clean ap-pearing in-service position. The device housing can have a barrier to separate voltages.

ApplicationsThe TLR Series Plugging Boxes are appropriate in schools, gymnasiums, churches, hospitals, civic buildings, offices and other areas with heavy foot traffic for the connection of lighting, sound and service appliance equipment.

330 SERIES

DescriptionThe 330 Series Plugging Boxes are recessed floor mounted enclosures designed for the tem-porary connection of electrical devices in interior concrete pour installations where a minimal size is required. FeaturesCover opens to provide access to devices. Cord slot allows door to remain closed with cord connected. When cover is closed, a separate inner cover closes the cord slot. Separate wiring compartments allow high voltage devices on one side, low voltage devices on the other.

ApplicationsThe 330 Series Plugging Boxes are for instal-lation in schools, churches, offices, civic buildings, and other locations for the connec-tion of lighting, sound and service appliance equipment.

370 SERIES

DescriptionThe 370 Series Plugging Box is a recessed floor mounted enclosure designed for the temporary connection of electrical devices in interior instal-lations. It provides a large space for many elec-trical devices, while still maintaining a smooth finished appearance.

FeaturesCover opens to provide access to devices. Cord slots allow door to remain closed with cord con-nected. Optional hinged door closes single 4" cord slot when not in use. Barrier can be provided behind interior panel to separate high and low voltage devices. The depth of the wiring area allows large devices and installation with large wire sizes.

ApplicationsThe TLS-370 Series Plugging Boxes are for installations in exhibition halls, auditoriums, and civic buildings for the connection of many electrical devices in one large plugging box.


An optional inner door with an opening handle conceals a single cord slot when the 370 Series is not in use.

DescriptionThe TLS-350 Series Plugging Boxes are recessed floor mounted enclosures designed for the temporary connection of electrical devices in theatrical installations where large or numerous devices are required. The unique TLS-351-W is designed for use in areas where water may fall on the plugging box. It is not recommended for areas subject to submersion.

FeaturesCover opens to provide access to devices. Cord slot allows door to remain closed with cord con-nected (except TLS-351-W). Non-skid pattern in certain models' covers provide traction for traffic. Separate wiring compartments allow high voltage devices on one side, low voltage devices on the other.

ApplicationsThe TLS-350 Series Plugging Boxes are appro-priate in schools, churches, theatrical stages and speaker platforms.


Theatrical stage floor pockets, in various widths, have a non-skid pattern and cord slots.

The TLS-351-W may be installed in wet locations not subject to immersion.

The 350 Series boxes provide capacity for many electrical devices. The TLS-353 (top right) has an extra large access door.
