Anotherchapterunfoldswiththisyear’sPrideof thePastureSaleuponus.Whileweremaincommittedtoofferingthequalityandtypeof cattlethatyouhavecometoexpect,wehavechangedafewaspectsof thisyears’sale.Inthisnewchapter,wewelcomeLambBros.Beef asournewpartners.LambBros.areprogressivebreeders,andweareexcitedtomoveforwardwiththeminthisnewventure.Pleasemakenoteof thechangeintimeto4p.m.andthenewlocation,GonzalesRanch,Freeport,IL.ForthoseunabletoattendinpersonwewillonceagainbebroadcastingonLiveAuctions.TV.Asweturnthepagewiththis2010sale,wewouldliketoexpressoursincerethankyoutoPerksRanchforanexceptionalexperiencethepastfewyearsandwishthemthebestastheymoveforwardwiththeirprogram. Eachyear,wetrytoofferafewsalefeatures.Thisyearthefeaturesareplentifulandincludeseveraltopcowsthatareprovendonorsoraredonorquality,severalmatingstoourtwonewbulls,AcesNEightsandTailorMaidandapremierflushopportunityonourErin5040Donor.Thegroupof latespringandsummercalvesareverygood.Theyaresomeof thebestwehaveraisedandshouldbeconsideredforthe2011showcircuit.Ourherdsires,CutterandBounty,playedalargeroleinthisyear’scropanddidnotdisappoint. Hi Folks,
IwouldfirstliketothanktheentireKatzenbergerfamilyforinvitingourprogramtothissale.IhaveknowntheKatzenbergerstobegood,honestpeoplewithanexcellentprogram,andIamhonoredtobeincludedinthissale. Ourprogramconsistsof about130cowsinWesternWisconsin.Wewereaskedtobringourbesttothissaleandthatisexactlywhatwearedoing!Inthisgroupof cattle,wethinkwehavesomethingthatfitseveryone’sprogram.Agroupof heifersthatwillshowandgoontobefrontpasturecowsdowntheroad.Wehadover60bullcalvestopickfromandwe’rebringingourbesttwo.Somebredheifersthatwillworkanywhereaswellasanexcellentgroupof cowswithsomeexcitingpedigrees. 2010hasbeenanexcitingyearforus.Ourpartnershiponthe“Kamikazee”bullisagamechangerforusandIcan’twaittoseehiscalvesstarthittingthegroundnextyear,aswellasthepartnershipon“BigCountry.”Hehassomuchupsideandweareallexcitedtoseehowfarthisbullcango! IwanttothankmyHerefordfriendsthroughoutthecountryfortheirfriendshipandsupport.I’mtrulyblessedtohavesomanygoodearsinmylife.AbigthankyoutoFredandJerryLarsonforeverythingtheyhavedoneforusovertheyears.Youtrulywon’tmeetabetterfamily.
