Plumbing is a technical skill having a vast range of applica�on across all major sectors of the Indian economy - agriculture, manufacturing, construc�on, industrial and domes�c. Plumbing is one of the main cons�tuents which also has a direct linkage with other ancillary industries manufacturing plumbing related products viz. water treatment, sewage and drainage, fire safety, supply of gas, hea�ng and cool ing systems, industr ia l waste management, and air-condi�oning etc. Size of the plumbing sector is directly propor�onal to the size of the construc�on sector.
The plumbing industry plays an important role in providing jobs and livelihood to millions of people across the country. India has been blessed with demographic dividend with a poten�al to reach greater heights. Plumbing technicians need to be abreast of proper technicali�es to meet the needs of the evolving infrastructure and plumbing companies need skilled manpower to be at pace with the innova�ons. To bridge the gap, Govt. of India has been taking various steps and prominently, the introduc�on of Voca�on training for plumbers to provide recognised cer�fica�on in accordance with Na�onal Skill Qualifica�on Framework (NSQF) that has been built in sync with dynamics of the Industry requirement.
This vantage ini�a�ve by Indian Plumbing Skills Council (IPSC) and Federa�on of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) of bringing Plumbing Technicians and Global industry under one roof is an excellent pla�orm to showcase the strength of Indian Plumbing sector, transforming India into a Global plumbing hub and bolstering the Skill India mission envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

Inspired by the clarion call of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to capitalise India’s inherent strengths, the event aims at making Indian Plumbing industry a mainstay for Global Construc�on sector.
The event i s organized with the Overarching theme - “Atmanirbhar Bharat: Transforming India Into a Global Plumbing Hub through Skilling and Employment Aligning with Jal Jeevan Mission.”
