Nu Flow licensee Plumbing Professors of Canton, Michigan installed over 700 feet of liner in rain water conductors with several bends in great lengths.
Name of Client: The Ohio State House
in Columbus.
Date of Work: December 20, 2010
through January 18, 2011.
Scope of Work: Installed 710 feet of
4 inch structural liner in twelve 4 inch
rain water conductors, each with two 90
degree bends. Liners were installed in
60 foot lengths.
Special Challenges Faced: Access
to the rst installation site was a 3 foot
attic space above the entire span of the
building. The second access point was a
3 foot crawl space under the facility.
Each liner had to be wet outside of the
crawl space, a considerable distance
from the access points. Then each liner
was dragged to the insertion point before
the epoxies hardened. Some wet out
locations were more than 200 feet fromthe insertion point.
Challenges Overcome: Adding wheels
to the tub that was used to transfer the
liners cut down on delivery time, allowing
installation of the liners before the resins
hardened.
