Spotlight on The Galileo Panel

The European Galileo project will pro-vide the first satellite positioning andnavigation system specifically for civilpurposes, with a constellation of 30satellites covering the Earth's entiresurface. Galileo is a joint venture of theEuropean Commission, the GalileoJoint Undertaking and a European pri-vate consortium. Representatives ofthese bodies will present and discussin this panel session how the projectwas conceived, negotiated and how itis being implemented.
