Are you a full-time college sophomore, junior or senior? Do you have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher? Do you have an exceptional interest in pursuing a career in newspaper work? If so, you’re eligible to apply.

This fall, the PNNA Foundation will award up to six $1,500 newspaper internship grants to worthy college students. Each grant is awarded after the winner secures and begins an internship of six weeks or more at a PNNA-member newspaper in Spring or Summer 2014. Start looking for an internship now.

Get an application from your adviser or from the PNNA website, pnna.com. Also, you’ll need to collect transcripts, letters of recommendation and some good work samples.

Applications for the 2014 PNNA Foundation Internship Grants program must be postmarked by Nov. 22, 2013.

"I thought I was going to be learning a lot about photos this summer, but what I learned about instead was the inner workings of a professional newsroom. I learned how to watch the budget, bug reporters and try to plan as far in advance as possible for photo assignments."
