This report presents current information on the timber s i t ua t i on i n Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, and British Columbia, including data on lumber and plywood p roduc t ion and prices; timber harvest; employment i n forest products industries; international trade i n logs, pulpwood, chips, lumber, and plywood; log prices i n the Pacific Northwest; volume and average prices of stumpage s o l d by public agencies; and other related items . Historical data for the years before 1973 are i n the 1979 issues of 'Production, Prices, Employment, and Trade i n Northwest Forest Industries."
