What is Podcasting?

• an audio file on the Internet

• accessed on a personal computer or portable MP3 player

• iPod + broadcast = podcast

• 'Podcast' generally refers to audio

• 'Video Podcast' (or 'Vodcast') refers to video

• can be released episodically

• users can receive notification of new episodes via subscriptions to RSS feeds.
