• Professors can upload lectures for students that can’t come to class.

• Professors can also publish powerpoint slides online for the students.

• Podcasts can not replace professors, because you need the professor to post the podcast.

Article 1: Reflection• I think podcasts can help

certain students in classes. I downloaded a lecture podcast for my Biology class at Purdue. I fell asleep within 15 minutes of pressing play. If you can stay awake listening to a lecture, then podcasts will probably be a great study tool for you.

Article 2: Reflection• I thought it was

interesting that the seniors in the nursing program used the podcasts more than the younger students. I think there is a correlation between the use of podcasts and difficulty of classes. I think it was also important noticing that podcasts helped students develop listening skills.

music and entertainment, but they are also used for education.

• The education sector of podcasting has been used to improve the quality of teaching, enable effective teaching, and improve the overall learning experience.

professor and the students to interact with each other.

• It also lets students use the podcasts for their individual needs.

Article 3: Reflection• I think this article

summarized the benefits of podcasting very well. Podcasting enables a student to be very flexible. The student can listen to lectures on any day at any time. They can hit pause, stop, or play anytime. I think if lecturers listen to their podcasts, they can figure out what in their lectures is working.

Conclusion

• I believe that podcasting can help both teachers and students. Teachers can figure out why their lectures are boring or what they forgot to cover. Students can listen to past or future lectures anytime and anywhere. If a student can come to class, then they can listen to the podcast and not fall behind. I am certain that podcasting will be used throughout high schools by the time I have kids and they are taking classes.
