Line -A single verse of poetry

I AM FAST AND FUNI am fast and fun.

I can dream, dreams that nobody has dreamt before.

I would go on adventures all over the world.I want to write out my imagination.

I enjoy seeing peace.I am fast and fun.

I want to fly and taste the air.I am not afraid to say what I want.

I feel such smooth things that touch my fingers.I find such pretty things in nature.

I am fast and fun.I want to be a soccer star.I think hard about things.

I wonder where we go when we fade.I feel so great when I help someone.

Free Verse-Poetry tat does not have a regular meter or rhyme scheme.

I don’t know exactly when I changed

into a kite...

perhaps it was shortly after

I stopped trying to fly

and simply drifted.

Until then I’d been Earthbound,

a rock that never gathered moss,

although I had never shifted.

Held down by gravity but aiming high

with my eyes fixed on a Heaven

that was so far out of reach

I almost stopped believing

it actually existed.

Sonnet-line pattern poem usually having one of several conventional rhyme and meter

I wake and feel the fell of dark, not day. What hours, O what black hours we have spent This night! what sights you, heart, saw; ways you

went! And more must, in yet longer light's delay. With witness I speak this. But where I say Hours I mean years, mean life. And my lament Is cries countless, cries like dead letters sent To dearest him that lives alas! away.

I am gall, I am heartburn. God's most deep decree

Bitter would have me taste: my taste was me; Bones built in me, flesh filled, blood brimmed

the curse. Self yeast of spirit a dull dough sours. I see The lost are like this, and their scourge to be As I am mine, their sweating selves; but worse.

Alliteration-the repetition of the same consonant sounds for poetic

Boisterous and bold, bursting with self-belief,Blunt and bossy yet brusque and brief.

Boys who are bullied are beaten and battered, Bullying buddies bluster when browbeat-busted.

Brawny boy bares his big biceps and bod,But brainy boy bags the busty broad.

Bad boys break the law bringing bitter blight,Brave boys win the battle, guns blazing bright.

Baby boys, a boon at birth are beautiful to behold,But bristly and boorish and bad-tempered when old.

But bless the boy who is always bonny and bright,Busy as a bee and brisk and blithe.

DIVINE DAWN DISSOLVES THE DIRE DISCORD.

SUN SASHAYS SHYLY SAYING SORRY TO SEA

Personification-a person or thing that connects a certain thing or idea

Days disco dancing fun faddish footsteps,Dates drinking until red wine all devoured,Long hours laughing with lenient leisure,Perhaps partied when city lights paling,Sang sonorously until throats thistle,Sat sprightly see sunrise over seafront.

Hyperbole-a figure of speech in which exaggeration used for effects

Star from the NorthSwept away in oblivion,It’s a mind ride on a unicornNumb ‘neath a naughty nightWhat a spectacle, what a sight. Gazing into the daring darkStars stare in this luring larkSpite of the nebulous stardustA star form the north caught my lust. T’was not the brightest, it did not come forthJust a coy and humble star from the northYet twenty twinkles must have passed byFor it stole the stagy show in the sky. Could have sworn it winked at meI winked; a stale look was all I could seeNot sure it returned my gaze,Guess it’s just a teasing maze.
