To access this application, tap the icon on the HOME Menu, and

then tap Open and read the contentsof each section carefully. When youare finished, press to returnto the HOME Menu.

To avoid fatigue and discomfortwhen using the stylus, do not grip ittightly or press it hard against the

3 Introduction

Pokémon™ Battle Trozei is a puzzlegame in which you clear puzzles inorder to battle against and Trozeithe wild Pokémon that appear ineach stage. Up to four players canplay.

What Does Trozei Mean?

In this game, the word Trozeimeans reducing a wildPokémon's HP (p. 6) to zeroand catching it so you can useit.

4 Starting the Game

Tap or slide your stylus across thelower screen to play the game.

View the play records of otherplayers you have passed by,or change your StreetPasssettings (p. 11).

5 Saving or Deleting Data

Saving Data

Whenever you finish a stage, yourscore, progress, and other gamedata will automatically be saved.

Deleting Data

♦ Be absolutely sure you want todelete your data before you goahead. Once deleted, your datacannot be restored and all ofyour progress will be gone.

If you tap on the title screen,you can choose to delete yourdata and start again from scratch.

● Data can be lost due touser action, such asrepeatedly powering off andon the system or removinga Game Card or SD Cardwhile saving. Data loss mayalso be caused by poorconnectivity due to dirt ordust in the system's ports.Please be aware that inthese cases data cannot berestored.

Each time that you Trozei a wildPokémon, will move to the right.

Once your next attack is strongenough to Trozei a wild Pokémon,

will appear. You Trozei a wildPokémon when it runs out of HP.

These bars show the Trozei Box'sremaining energy.

This is the space where you canmove Pokémon to make matches.

7 Match Pokémon

Combos

If you match Pokémon and clearthem from the Trozei Box two ormore times in a row, you will makea combo.

Trozei Chances!

If you make a combo in thefollowing order, you will be able toclear more Pokémon from theTrozei Box.

Tap a Pokémon in theTrozei Box, and slide itacross the screen. Makea match of three ormore of the samePokémon either horizontally orvertically. This will clear them fromthe screen. You can keep movingother Pokémon, even while the firstmatch is still disappearing, so keepmoving and make some morematches!

♦ The Pokémon that appear on thetop screen will drop into theTrozei Box after some Pokémonare cleared.

♦ You can still move Pokémonfreely during a Trozei Chance.

❶ Match four Pokémonor more at once toclear them.

❷ If you then matchthree or morePokémon and clearthem...

❸ You will create aTrozei Chance and beable to make matchesof just two Pokémon,as long as the combocontinues!

8 Battle Wild Pokémon

ClearPokémon fromthe TrozeiBox, and youwill be able toattack the wildPokémon you are battling. Thegreater the combo you create, themore damage you will be able todeal.

Pause Menu

If you tap on the lowerscreen, the game will bepaused and you will be able torestart the stage or quit it andreturn to the stage-selectionscreen.

Clearing a Stage

When you Trozei the last Pokémonto appear in a stage, you will clearthe stage.

Attacks from WildPokémon

Wild Pokémon will attack after acertain interval, reducing yourenergy.

Game Over

If your Trozei Box runs out ofenergy, it is game over. You canselect "Retry" to attempt the samestage again from the start or "Quit"to return to the stage-selectionscreen.

When Wild PokémonInvade

Wild Pokémon canplummet downinto the TrozeiBox, where theywill get in the wayof your gameplay.

9 Your Pokémon List

The wild Pokémon that you Trozeiwill appear in the Pokémon List onthe lower screen. If you tap aPokémon in the Pokémon List, youwill be able to view its detailedsummary.

Bring Pokémon with You

Tap and slide a Pokémon to drop itinto the Support Pokémon slot,and then you can bring it intostages with you.

♦ The type of the first Pokémoncleared will decide the type fora combo.

Each Pokémon has a type. If youattack a wild Pokémon using aPokémon of a type that it is weakto, you will be able to deal greaterdamage. On the other hand, if youattack using a Pokémon of a typethat it is resistant to, the damageyou deal will be reduced.

4 Search Pokémon

Choose your settings for the foursearch conditions and tap"Search!," and the filtered resultswill be displayed. You can use ↓and ↑ to change their order. If youchange "Trozeis" to "Show All,"you will be able to see thesilhouettes of the Pokémon youhave not yet caught.

♦ Tap to clear the searchconditions.

Become Friendlier with YourPokémon

♦ Some Pokémon willbecome friendlier moreeasily than others.

If you keep the same SupportPokémon with you, it willbecome friendlier toward you.When it does, it will deal moredamage to wild Pokémon.

The greater a Pokémon's attackpower, the more damage it will doto wild Pokémon.

Forming a Team

● You Will Need:

Multiplayer Mode(Local Play)

If you have a Nintendo 3DS systemand Pokémon Battle Trozei gamefor each person, you can playtogether in a team of up to fourplayers. To play together, oneplayer should form a team andrecruit members, and the otherplayers can join that team.

❸ Tap "Ready?" when you areready to play.

You can choose to register thisgame for StreetPass when youopen it and play it for the first time.You can also change theStreetPass settings at any time bytapping on the title screen andthen .

Records (StreetPass)

If you and another player bothhave the game registered for usewith StreetPass on yourNintendo 3DS systems and youpass by one another, you canshare your Favorite Pokémon andyour play records.

System Settings, select DataManagement, and then select StreetPass Management. Tap theicon for this software title, and thenselect Deactivate StreetPass.

You can disable StreetPassfunctionality via Parental Controls.
