Matt Hansen CRIME/INCIDENT: Sex Offender Notification LOCATION: 20675 Minch Road Red Bluff, California SUSPECT: Daniel James McRoberts (08/15/1983) WMA, 6’03”, 300 pounds brown hair and eyes SUMMARY: The Red Bluff Police Department was recently notified of the placement of Daniel McRoberts at 20675 Minch Road, Red Bluff. McRoberts is a registered sex offender and has been convicted of indecent exposure, lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old and kidnapping. His victims were girls between the ages of 9 and 14-years old. McRoberts is considered high-risk and there is concern he will re-offend. Currently, McRoberts is under the jurisdiction of the State and has very stringent terms and conditions of his release. McRoberts is prohibited from being near schools or any place where children gather, driving a motor vehicle, and has a curfew. McRoberts is currently under direct supervision during the day and evening in addition to being GPS monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. McRoberts terms and conditions may be modified in the future if his risk to the public has been determined to be reduced by the California Department of Mental Health. The Red Bluff Police Department and the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office will continue to monitor McRoberts as long as he lives in the community. This release is for information only.
