Until then no construction is permissible even in the Regulated Areas of Centrally Protec ed Monuments. No construction activity of any type is permissiole in the Prohibi ed Areas of the Centrally Protected Monuments. With a view to protect the National Heritage of India and to uphbtd the provision of the amended AMASR (Amendment and Validation) Act, 2010',

If and when a construction activity is noticed lri' he prohibited/regulated area of a centrally protected monument/site, the Conserva i,on Assistant, Puducherry will issue stop notice to the person(s)/a~ency responsible for such unauthorized construction and will · lodge a complaint W.ith the local Po ice. Station if the construction· activity is not stopped by those1persons. Neces ary instructions may please be issued to the respective District Superintendents of Pol ce/ " Inspectors of Police in the l)nion Territory of Puducherryl for receiving s ch complaints and register case against those erring individual(s)/agencies for stop ing all construction activities in the prohibited and regulated areas of centrally prote ted monuments/ sites in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

A reply on the action taken is solicited.

{4} The competent authority for the purpose.of preparation of detailed site plans and heritage bye-laws may appoint such number ofexperts or consultants as it may deem fit.
