Morning (First Period)

➲ Lunch Find your name on the lunch sheet by the door,

Write an “R” for Regular Lunch, an “S” for Sandwich, or a “\” if you brought your lunch. Click here for video example.

If you have money for the cafeteria, give it to the teacher.

Do this as soon as you can when you enter the room. Do this quietly.

Mrs. Bryant's Expectations

➲ Come to class on time everyday.➲ Always have something to write with. You may leave

a pen/pencil in your folder.➲ Attend class unless completely unavoidable. If you

are ill and could make others sick, you have reason to miss school. Not feeling 100 percent is not an excuse. Most jobs only allow a certain number of sick days per year.

This class is structured much like an actual business environment. You should meet all expectations as criteria for evaluation of your performance as an employee.

➲ Redo work when it is not acceptable. If it is not done correctly the first time, expect to revise and resubmit.

➲ Begin working as soon as you arrive everyday. Don't wait until you are instructed to begin the assignment. You should have plenty of assignments to do so make full use of class time.

➲ ROLLING AROUND THE ROOM IN THE CHAIRS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

➲ Keep workspace clean and tidy. Clean up scrap paper and keep all class materials neatly on your desk. Click here for video example.

➲ Take good care of computer/technology equipment. Be sure to follow the network acceptable use policy at all times as well as the computer lab use agreement.

➲ Respect each other. Respect the ideas of others. Respect each other and their belongings.

➲ Participate. Make me know that you are learning something! Make your time in class worthwhile!

➲ Turn in work on time. If you are absent or get behind on computer work, be prepared to make arrangements with the teacher to catch up.

➲ Books and materials are to be returned to the assigned area.

➲ When group tasks are assigned, students are to work with each other, and are not allowed to gossip.

➲ Do not bring food, candy, or drinks into the computer lab. You are allowed to have water in a container with a lid. You are required to keep the container down on the floor and when you are taking a drink, do it away from the computer/technology equipment. Click here for a video example.

➲ Always log off the computer and push your chair in. 7th Period students should shut down their computer. ( I

give violations for not logging off and pushing your chair in).

➲ Remember, do not share your password.➲ You do not have to get permission to speak, but you

should do it at an appropriate time. Remember, to do it respectfully.

➲ When you are working together, keep your voices at a low conversation tone. I should not be able to hear what you are saying across the room.

➲ You are allowed to get up and throw away your trash without asking for permission. You should do so without disrupting class. There are three trash cans in the room and you should use the one closest to you.

➲ You are allowed to get a kleenex without asking for permission. Kleenex boxes are placed in several locations throughout the room. You should use the kleenex box closest to you and do so without disrupting the class. ALSO, please throw your used kleenex in the trash.

➲ As a privilege to students, I allow students to go to their locker, water fountain, restroom, or library. Also, a student can go to the nurse or office if necessary. Before leaving the room to any of these locations, the student must sign out on the sign-out sheet placed on the clipboard by the door and obtain a pass from the teacher. You must put your name, the current date and time, and check where you are going. This is a privilege and DO NOT make a habit of asking.

➲ I write violations on my board because the most common violations given are for not logging off and pushing your chair in and I cannot tell the student(s) until the next day. I place the name on the board because I do not want to forget to tell the student(s).

➲ Occasionally I place a student(s) into lunch detention. I follow the same procedures as other teachers for this.

➲ If you are tardy to my class, I record this in my gradebook.

Mrs. Bryant's Expectations

➲ You are allowed to listen to your iPod, MP3, MP4, or cell phone music when we are working on assignments where there is no discussion or teacher instruction. You are not allowed to share earbuds. Please do not share your electronic equipment with others. Click here for video example.

➲ You are not allowed to change any of the setting on your computer workstation unless told to by the teacher. This includes changing your background, screensaver, and resolution.
