During Christmas Eve we usually prepare

twelve dishes. On this special day we

decorate Christmas Tree with our families.

In Poland, during Easter we paint eggs and

then bless them in the church.

Shrove Thursday's symbols are doughnuts

that we usually eat on this day.

The tradition of All Saints’ Day is lighting

candles on the graves. Do not confuse this

day with Halloween. This is day of memory

of people who died.

The tradition of Independence Day is

hanging the flags out. This day is free of

work and school.

During Wet Monday we fill water guns and

buckets with water. Then we make ‘wet

surprises’ to people on the street – we just

pour them.
