HY DJ Freezie (aka Chelsea Frost) was born in PA in September of 1989, and it was obvious early on that she

had a big personality. In her early teen years, she attended Circus Camp, where she studied trapeze, break dancing, and yes, even clown classes! Later studies include 3 years of hip hop dance; all culminating in one eclectic dynamo!

Already deeply in love with music, Freezie began spinning four years ago and very quickly worked her way into the fast track, as she was trained early on by some of the top DJ’s in the Philly area. She quickly developed a love for hip hop and dance music, and while spinning, totally integrated dance and performance in her show. DJ Freezie is a TOTAL performer. Her infectious enthusiasm, beauty, style and love of music is obvious throughout all of her performances! Her first summer (2009) was a wonderful time for her. Combining all the popular South Jersey shore spots like the Ocean Drive and Jack's, Freezie was named the resident DJ for the Trump Plaza Industry night on the beach in Atlantic City. At the annual International DJ Expo in Atlantic City, Freezie was the opening night featured DJ at the Trump Taj Mahal, the host casino for the Convention. 2010 was a breakout year for Freezie. In addition to maintaining her residency at Kildare's in Manayunk, she branched out, both musically and geographically. As her musical tastes broadened into house, old school hip hop, and more recently, funk and soul, elements of all of these genres of music have made their way into her mixes. In 2010 she traveled to Delaware and Maryland, as well as New York and NEPA, where she was the featured guest DJ monthly at The Woodlands Inn and Resort in NEPA.

In 2011, Freezie’s travels extended from Connecticut to DC. Guest DJ spots in well established venues include Marissa’s in Connecticut, the Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach, the Foundation Room and Harrah’s Pool in Atlantic City, and various events for Playboy. Her schedule is crammed with various nightlife venues, and her demand has virtually exploded. She has performed with DJ Skribble, Spinbad, Third Eye Blind, Reel Big Fish and Ice –T, among others. In May of 2012, she played the Black Keys after party at the new mega-casino Revel in Atlantic City. During the summer of 2012, she had a weekly residency in the new ultra luxe lounge IVY in Delaware. Also that summer, after only 3 short years, Freezie rotated with some of the world’s best DJs, including DJs from Mars, Boris, Skribble and Enferno.

2013 was a year of continued growth. Adding a monthly residency at the prestigious nightclub Mixx at the Borgata to her resume, she has also appeared with Krewella, SkyBlu (LMFAO) and Kap Slap. She has just recently started collaborating in the studio with some of today’s top producers as well. Freezie’s first release should be in the early summer of 2013.

As she grows as a musical performer, all the while continuing with her unique, performance oriented spinning, she continues to expand her fan base. Adding her own unique music to her resume will help her expand her fan base even farther. Moving the audiences with her mixing and performance motivate this consummate artist. Good things lie ahead for this young woman.
