• We learned about the life in our ponds.• We observed our ponds with and without microscopes. • We drew our observations at different time periods.• Tess- I learned about the interesting things seen in our ponds. • Rachel- I learned about different organisms that live in our ponds.

Question?Question?
• What changes will we see in our ponds at different time periods? (3 weeks,6 weeks,10-12 weeks)
![Page 4: Pond or Lake? Rachel Rice Tess Vessels. We learned about the life in our ponds. We observed our ponds with and without microscopes. We drew our observations](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022072010/56649db15503460f94aa03fd/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
HypothesesHypotheses
Rachel• 3 weeks more bacteria
and bugs would start.• 6 weeks bugs , bacteria,
and organisms will become more seen.
• 10-12 weeks bugs, bacteria, mold and organisms are present.
Tess• 3 weeks – life grows,
water will be clearer, Lemna grows.
• 6 weeks – even more life, less soil, Lemna grows.
• 12 weeks – a whole lot more life, leaves will die, hay will die, clearer water, and Lemna grows.

ConclusionConclusion
Tess- I think that I was half right. The hay and leaves did die. There was less soil and more life. However, the Lemna did not grow and the water did not clear up much.
Rachel-I also think I was half right. Bacteria did become more present and so did organism. Bugs and mold did not present themselves however.

Compare & ContrastCompare & Contrast
Similarities • Our ponds contain
bacteria and so do real ponds.
• Lemma is present in both.
Differences • The larger ponds
have more, bigger, and different animals than our ponds.
• The larger ponds experience climate changes and different types of weather.
