entirely from bottle tops.

We Will Rock You a fantastic hit!

This week saw the culmination of months and months of hard work from over 50 students from

Years 7 to 11. The school’s musical production, ‘ We will Rock You’ enraptured audiences throughout

the week. Two evening shows and many morning and afternoon matinees left the cast and produc-

tion team totally exhausted, however the energy and professionalism with which all shows were per-

formed left audiences buzzing.

This was truly one of the best productions ever from a multi-talented student and staff team. Special

thanks must go to school staff - Kirsty Smith (Director), Chris Evans (Musical Director, Jamie Best

(Back stage manager), Ruan Ellis and Nigel Collins (Technical Directors) for all of the many hours

after school and at weekends enabling the show to go ahead.

The singing, dancing, acting and instrument playing from the students demonstrated the high stand-

ards within expressive arts at Pool Academy. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Trip to Team Bath

As a finale for the netball teams after all their league matches this year, the PE Department

organised a trip to watch one of the top netball teams in the country, ‘Team Bath’ who

played a mixed All Star team.

This was a preview to the start

of National League matches.

The girls were stunned, not on-

ly by the standard of play by

all the players, male and

female but, with the

outstanding facilities.

An extra bonus was winning a

two hour coaching session with

one of the Team Bath

players……

Yr 10 finishes 3rd in the league

Congratulation to the Yr10 Netball team

following their play-off game against

Penair School on Tuesday evening.

They were slow to start, which resulted

in them being behind at the end of the

first quarter. They held their own during

the next quarters, playing some good

netball. Although they lost the match

they finished 3rd overall in the league.
