DESCRIPTION
The site faces east towards the sea, with fabulous views (at first floor level) across Chichester harbour. Our concept begins with the desire to exploit first floor living, with a cedar-clad ‘box’ containing an open-plan living space that combines with outdoor decks to enjoy the sea views and catch the sun at all times of the day. The ground floor, a rendered masonry construction, accommodates bedrooms and bathrooms and a wet room/ dinghy store to accommodate the client’s passion for watersports. The Pooley House won a RIBA South / South East Award in 2012.TRANSCRIPT
