Manga interest and reading’s behavior
• Number of respondents: 300
• People who live in Vietnam
• Conducted on Sept 25-26, 2014
Manga interest and reading’s behavior
• 85,1% interest in manga and 66,2% of them spend up to 5 hours per
week for reading manga in average.
• 38,5% pay up to $50K VND per month for reading manga. This ratio
of female seem to be higher than male. While 26,1% don’t pay for
reading manga.
• Most of them read manga on Facebook. Next are some local
website about manga.
• 60% choose comedy that is the most popular kind of manga they
read. It’s not different so much between male and female.
• 70,4% get the latest information about manga via Facebook.
• Conan detective is the most popular manga in Vietnam. The 2nd and
3rd positions are Doraemon and Dragon Ball.
• 42,6% have attended some local festival related with manga or
cosplay and just only 30% of them have made cosplay into their
favorite manga charecter.
