INTRODUCTION

Port Scaff was founded in 1986 as the primary scaffolding division of Elgin Brown and Hamer which was originally founded in 1878. EBH South Africa provides the international shipping industry as well as the oil & gas sector with a full in-house service in all aspects of ship repair through its operations in Durban and Cape Town.

Since this expansion and adoption of a broader vision for the company as a whole, we can now service other industries in South Africa including the building, painting and construction industries. Our quotes are based on yearly maintenance contracts, fixed rates, daily rates and cubic meter rates. Most of our valuable work comes from our high levels of repeat business, customer recommendations and safety standards.

SAFETY FIRST

Our primary objective is the health and safety of our clients and employees. Our company has an excellent health and safety record which was achieved through high standards of training, supervision, management and a very effective company safety policy. Scaffold is erected by trained scaffolders in compliance with all safety regulations and international stan-dards.

The law states that a scaffold must be inspected every 7 days, and it is the users responsibility to uphold this. As a company and specialist in the scaffolding industry, we will at our customers request, attend the site and carry out detailed inspections and record our findings on a once off or weekly basis. Each inspection will be recorded and our findings given to the client for their records and to ensure all regulatory standards are adhered to.
