Port stephens – a Blue Water ParadisePort stephens has a unique blend of man made and natural attractions complemented by a vast array of conference venues to make your next event the most memorable for your clients. Individual venues can cater for up to 250 delegates and as a region we have catered for groups exceeding 500. Port stephens tourism, in conjunction with key partners, will provide the menu for a great incentive trip.

Port stephens has two iconic features, the surreal desert landscape that is the Worimi Conservation Lands and Port stephens waterway – which is now part of the Port stephens Great Lakes Marine Park. Port stephens is home to over 160 bottlenose dolphins which interact with the daily dolphin cruises, and whales provide spectacular entertainment for the whale watch cruises as they pass by twice a year.

But there is much more... surfing, kayaking, fishing (home of the largest game-fishing tournament), golf, bush walking, koala spotting or eat and drink the local produce at our wineries, restaurants and cafés.

Worimi Conservation Landsthe almost surreal dune system is up to 1km wide, 32km long and covers an area of over 4,200 hectares and must be seen to be believed! With massive dunes climbing up to 40 metres high and sloping, they are perfect for sand boarding.

Located only 10 minutes from the centre of nelson Bay, brilliant natural sand stretches to the shipwreck of the sygna, along a corridor edged in bushland to the north and beach to the south. stockton Bight is home to ‘tin City’ (a collection of inhabited fishing shacks) and a number of World War II relics including 3,000 concrete pyramid tank traps. the dune system is popular with photographers, as well as featuring in many commercials and movies you may be familiar with (remember ‘Mad Max’?).
