With this portfolio, I chose to describe the projects and the competences I have acquired for the last five years. My architectural studies have led me to invest all research fields about designing space. My cursus is built on learnings from projects, meetings, lectures, internships, workshops and travels.

This choice of works and projects was designed to highlight my multidisciplinary approach. Therefore, my architectural projects are presented alongside morphology, mapping, design, photography This reflects my aim to expand my knowledge for a better understanding of architecture, through a perpetually need to learn, explore and discover.

With the design of more than 300 appartments over a 6400 m2 site on the Nantes Island, this project was devoted on the topic of density. Based on an underground parking area, the project buildings are built on the plot periphery : on one side, a street belonging to a new urban development, but close to the urban life of the Nantes Island, and on the other side, a bounded and safe courtyard, the center of communal life of the building. It offers a safe playground for children and a long bending bench, in order to enhance communal life taking great care of the common spaces and interconnecting them visually. In addition to this dynamic collection of spaces, devoted to social life, another static one, devoted to private and intimate functions, is offered to the inhabitants : a loggia with sliding windows in every dwelling, which is able to transform itself into an open terrace in summer and a spacious living room in winter.

This furniture project was developped in association with a organization from Nantes : Ecorev. Promoting waste recycling and artistic development, we partnered with this local association in order to create a piece of furniture. Also, in order to educate the appropriate management of waste, Ecorev provided a set of old and broken furniture and other objects which were originally destined to be destroyed : the material for our new piece of furniture. The exploration of the human scale, the reflection on the uses, methods of construction and operation of any object ; many questions addressed through this achievement from pre-existing elements intended initially to be destroyed. More than a project, the final result is a concrete realization, requiring the implementation of a constructive idea, based on the recovery of selected objects.

A lounge chair, adapted to human dimensions. Our desire to develop the concept of our achievement, in order to get maximum effect and possible uses with a minimum of material, gave a particular aesthetic to the realization, made of wood and braiding.

The goal of this course was to initiate the creation of complex architectural forms located on a specific site: the island of Nantes. Focusing initially on the notion of movement, this work was about the network of paths and surfaces on this ancient industrial 32 000 sqm area : understanding the internal structure of this territory. The first part consisted of the analysis of various parameters related to the network (public and private transports, roads, surfaces...), via the production of maps and physical models. For the second step, the most relevant aspects of the analysis were transcribed by hybridizing morphologically different parameters. The final presentation consists of a physical and a digital model, where, from the morphological representation of our analysis, emerge unsuspected forms on the site, with a re-interpretation of the territory.

Through this project, we had the opportunity to practice one of the fundamental aspects of the architecture discipline : the mapping. During several weeks, we analyzed Berlin city on the topic of mobility and related infrastructures, with a regular production of maps and graphics elements.

This research process led us to identify specific issues related to our initial theme. Our work was focused on the aerial U-bahn and the dynamical appropriation of the under-spaces generated by this local metro. Thank to this previous solid analysis, we conceived a future urban and installation project in the German capital : the Berlin Line

The step before designing the project was to analyze the site and the distances covered by the aerial U-Bahn (over 12 km of track).

One of the aspects of such analysis was to understand the structural system of these spaces (dimensions, materials, shapes) consisting of various archs connected to the ground by a set of blocks. The structural aspect was crucial in understanding this space, because this is what defines the strong visual identity of the aerial U-Bahn.

The final project involves the refurbishment of surfaces generated by the elevation of the U-Bahn (sometime inaccessible surfaces under the aerial U-bahn) to turn them into a real linear path, connected to the local perambulation. Thanks to a homogeneous and simple installation, the architectural quality of the space is improved without changing the visual identity of this old rail tracks structure. Henceforth, these spaces do not remain inaccessible but are offering a new pedestrian way of perambulation next to the public transports and a new public space.

During the night, another facet of the Berlin Line project appears. A temporary installation made of neons fixed to the arches highlights the U-bahn structure. This gives the visitor a new perspective : the rediscovering of the metallic elements rythming the path under the U-bahn.

Located in the Nantes Creation District, and thus taking part in a increasingly urban dynamic, the main idea of this project was to create a rift from north to south : this new passage extends pre-existing streets to take naturally part of the Nantes perambulation (along the river with pedestrians and bicycles). This new connection brings light and space to its inhabitants, with commercial activities on the ground floor and student housing on the upper floors.

Oriented to the south / east, the two student housing buildings provide a communal garden plant, a free space for the students. Furthermore, a set of green terraces gives relief to the volume on many floors and provide open spaces for all the buildings users.

Carnac (West coast of France) is a neolitic site of international renown. But despite the high-quality museums collection (which is a key to understand all the prehistorical surrounding sites), this museum suffers from a real lack of influence and audience, and a weak relationship with its environment. The purpose of this renovation is to create a porous place, located between the town center of Carnac and the prehistoric sites. Designed as a source of knowledge and culture, the future building has to guide the tourists and to be an attractive center for the local population. The new exhibition revisits the concept of touching : a knowledge transmission based on the playful proximity of the collection. For a better understanding of this precious heritage, we conceived a new scenography, abolishing the distance between the audience and the collection.

Located on the river Erdre, this removable and adjustable floating stage/theater is a project for a summer local jazz festival. The goal was to design a new multi-purpose arena for the festival : this stage could travel along the river and create new spots for the audience in order to rediscover the fluvial and terrestrial environment.

Within a simple and sober form, this project can accommodate several types of performances (dance, opera, concert) by visiting various sites during its journey. In addition, indoor and outdoor screenings on the walls during the night and a set of light reflections on the river make the volume shining like a floating lantern.

    Section - Setting A

    Section - Setting C

To develop versatility both for stage design and for performances, as well as a modular nature to adapt on the sites, the floating theater can be converted into three different temporary settings. Each setting presents different configuration advantages : an Intimate performance visually isolated from the river, a show using the river as part of the background, or an open stage overlooking the Erdre and the urban space.

The aim of this course was to understand the scope of the current global phenomenons on the architectural object design. The researchs were focused on the Open Data movement, which supports the idea of a free and accessible online data from private and public origin.

The work required a precise methodology: gathering information and statistics from media dealing with this phenomenon (articles, websites, surveys, publications ...), the ranking of these datas in spreadsheet and finally their mapping.

Therefore, the visuals in this section are the result of this process, and tend to explain a global movement made of multiple factors.

Let Dance is a research project about body movement, and its realization in space once the body disappeared. It consists in a visual proposition of the human body gestures : the actions made by a dancer group are subjected in a particular process where the mass is transformed into thousands of particles.

Through this process, either these particles freeze weightless or they obey to gravity laws and fall, but they always leave a trace in space of their movements. This is a volumetric research project where melancholic bodies create post apocalyptic forms

Let Dance has been designed in two steps. A first step with the transcription of the performer movements into digitals animated skeletons. And a second step with the transformation of the bodies into particles, and their position into space.

The final product is a video showing four difference proposals of particles movements and their representation. Through this video, the progressive creation of particles is revealed : first in motion into space, they finally freeze into a experimental form.

My passion for photography associated with the discovery of architecture all over the world, leads me to take a photographic look on surroundings.

The perception of the space created by architecture and its function, the human scale, the connection between light and texture, life into spaces... so many notions that I have to consider and think about during the production of these photographs .

Through many events (festivals, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, shows ...), the official student office of ENSA Nantes (BDE) and others associations from the architecture school are involved in the increasing student productions, building day after day relationships between students, teachers, administrative staff, and architecture offices. By actively participating in the community life of my school, I worked particularly in event organization and communication (posters, photographies, videos), I have contributed for many years to highlight the creative work of my school and the students productions.
