Objectives:Scan and import a high-quality image. Create a full-bleed design.Use text boxes and insert images in Word.

Process: The program primarily used was word. I used the shape tool, transparency tool, text box and color picker tool. I took the original image and covered it creating a pattern using triangles.

Objectives:Learn to use Photoshop layers.Learn to blend images together using masks.Learn to use filters.Use typography appropriately.

Process: I began with coming up with a concept that went with the quote I wanted to use. I then found images that went with my quote and blended them together using photoshop. I used the mask tool to make parts of the photos transparent.

Photodesign Description: Demonstrate good photography and editing skills. Create a poster using an origi-nal photo.

Objectives:Learn photography skills.Adjust the images brightness, contrast, and hue and saturation.Create a design using the image.

Process: To take the image I used a Nikon D5000. After editing the photo using photoshop (levels, vibrance, and color balance) I placed the photo onto a new document in photoshop. I created a full bleed 8.5X11 document using my photo, text, shapes and shadows. I used a monochromatic color scheme using the color teal.

Flier Description: Black & White flier to promote a graduate leadership conference.

Programs: Adobe InDesign

Instructor: Brother Kerr

Objectives:Use basic Indesign skills to create a flier incorporating and image, logo and text.

Process: The first step was creating sketches. Out of the four sketches I chose the one I like the most, and thought that the audience would like the most, and began to create it using InDesign. In my design I created unity by copying the circle in the company logo and using it in the title and at the bottom of the flier.

Objectives:Create a variety of logos to represent a company.Use basic Illustrator tools.

Process: For this project I used Adobe Illustrator. I used shape, text and line tools to create each of the logos.

Objectives:Create a multi-fold document.

Process: After measuring the brochure out on a real piece of paper, I created a grid and set up my brochure. I then found the images, using google, that went along with my brochure. I then used text boxes and put in my text. I added the rectangle at the bottom of the brochure using the shape tool.

Programs: Notepad++, Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a website.Write content that describes the process of creating your logo.Design a website using HTML ad CSS.

Process: I created this web page using Notepad++. Previous to this project I had never worked with HTML or CSS. After inserting the provided HTML and CSS I went in and changed things to make them appropriate for my site. I started by aligning the text where I wanted it to be. I then changed the fonts and colors of the text. I then added in my logo(which took me a while to figure out how to do) and finished by changing the colors of the borders and backgrounds.
