Portfolio Management is the process of deciding which investments to start, continue, discontinue or postpone

Managing an entire portfolio enables you to measure overall financial effectiveness, optimize resource allocation, review inefficient projects and eliminate redundant efforts

You can create a detailed inventory of all your projects, applications, assets, products, ideas and other investments

The portfolio target costs and benefits are distributed evenly between the start and finish dates of the portfolio. — To update a period value, click inside its time frame

— Analyze the targets to see if you are going over or under the financial limits

Plans are “what-if?” tests to evaluate and fine-tune possible portfolio updates that are required to meet portfolio targets: – Ranking Rules:

Change primary constraint

Change ranking attributes ( 700 possible – 240 defaulted):

– Approved, Required, Alignment, Risk and ROI (non default)

– Analyze aggregate constraint values and ranking rules (Waterlines View)

– Scorecard, Analysis, Capacity and Financials portlets
