The exercise was to redraw an existing project in order to understand the structural and the architectural choices of the architects.Drawings, made by hand with china ink, and the section-model helped to get more into the project, in both technical and formal sense.

Cinema Pavilion at Locarno Film Festival.site: Aurelio Galfetti roundabout at Locarno.

Each pavilion had to gest a little cinema room to show the assigned movie, an exposition space based on its content and a bookshop point. We had limits of dimension and of tipology. Materials were abstract. We were asked to develop a path moved by an architectu-ral interpretation of the movie, connecting the spaces requested by the task.

House in the city. Casa de Pepita B&B.Barceloneta, Barcelona. Spain

The exercise was to design a single family house in the peculiar urban grid of Barceloneta, a little peninsula that represents the waterfront of the city.We had to deal with matters of ventilation, light and narrowspaces. The individual project then had to be extended to the public space of the street and connected to the neigh-bourhood in order to requalify its social life.

Redraw of an architectural element.Angela Deuber Architekten stairca-se, renovation of a house in Stuls, Switzerland.

The exercise was to redraw - and understand how it works - the singular element of the spiral double staircase, which was part of the renovation of the house. Only at the second floor, these two parallel stairs get in touch, becoming the unique mee-ting point for the families that are living in.
