• Keeps the material out of catchbasins and storm drains and ultimately out of Casco Bay

Street Sweeping Fleet
• Fleet of 7 Elgin Street Sweepers• 6 Mechanical • 1 Regenerative Air
• Each year, one of the sweepers is replaced with a new sweeper

2017 Street Sweeping
• 3013 miles swept so far in 2017• Entire City has been swept at least twice• Peninsula has been swept at least 4 times• Sand, organics (leaves and buds), inorganics (litter and butts)• Citywide: 2310 tons • Capisic Brook Watershed: 280 tons
