1. Position Objective

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this challenging and proactive role as Accounts Receivable / Payable Supervisor will oversee the receivables, payables and banking functions ensuring that essential customer service, accuracy and timely processing requirements are met, as well as driving process and system improvements.

2. Organisational Relationships

Reports To: Group Financial Controller Direct Reports: Accounts Receivable Officers (6) Accounts Payable Officers (2) Banking Officer (1) Key Relationships: Client Relations Team

Residential Managers and Administration Staff Care at Home Staff Business Unit Accountants Central Services Staff

3. Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills Required:

• Extensive experience in an accounts payable / receivable role, preferably at a supervisor level • Previous experience in the management of customer debt collections • Ability to mentor and lead a team • Strong customer focus with a commitment to excellent customer service • Ability to identify, resolve and manage problems and resolve conflict situations effectively • Proven experience in driving process improvement • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with all

levels of the business • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills • An enthusiastic, flexible and results driven attitude

4. Key Areas of Responsibility

4.1 Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking functions • Co-ordinate month end activities ensuring key deadlines are communicated and met • Preparation of the weekly cash flow forecast and preparation of debt rollover notices • Preparation of weekly and monthly reporting involving transaction volume data, bond reporting, debt

reporting and occupancy reporting • Oversee debtor management and debt collection requirements including monthly reporting to the

CFO • Completion of annual prudential compliance statements, Aged Care Financing Authority monthly

reporting and departmental surveys as required • Assist with external audit requirements • Liaise with the Residential, Care at Home and Client Services teams regarding process and reporting

requirements

• Assist with the implementation of major system changes impacting accounts payable, receivable and banking including documentation and communication of process changes to all relevant staff

• Review and update policy and procedure documentation as required • Identify areas for process improvements and implement approved changes

4.2 Staff and Teamwork • Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking teams • Prepare staff performance development plans and provide support and assistance to staff to achieve

their development objectives • Provide regular feedback to staff regarding their performance in a professional manner • Identify training needs and provide on the job training as required

5. Occupational Health & Safety

• Maintain a safe working environment in your area of responsibility. • Ensure that OH&S principles and guidelines are adhered to. • Report any breach in OH&S. Document any hazard and make suggestions / recommendations for

improvements. • Report accidents and injuries and near misses as per BlueCross Policy and Guidelines. • Provide and maintain so far as is practicable a working environment that is safe and without risk to

health. • Take care of your own health and safety and the health and safety of any other person who may be

affected by your acts or omissions at the workplace. • Understand responsibilities and accountabilities to yourself and others in accordance with OH&S

legislation and BlueCross policies and promote a working environment that is congruent with these guidelines.
