3. Position Purpose
To provide supervision, direction, pedagogical leadership to educators, volunteers and students, within program boundaries in your designated room. To also provide support and backfill for the Children’s Centre Coordinator, as required.

All positions will be required to undertake roles and activities related to Business Continuity and Emergency Management in preparation for and during times of crisis.

4. Key Responsibility Areas
Create a Customer Service Culture - Leads the implementation of new processes, activities, or culture that enhance the customer experience; ensures that associates live a customer-focused culture day to day. Quickly absorb new information and apply it when providing services to customers/parents. Clarify the nature of customer needs and then attempt to meet or exceed customer/parent
expectations. Handle upset customers/parents by hearing them out, empathising, apologising, and taking
responsibility for resolving the issues. Clearly communicate instructions and information to customers/parents, using a variety of
media and techniques. Abide by legal duty of care to report to DHHS Child Protection and Victoria Police any belief on
reasonable grounds that a child has suffered, or is likely to suffer, significant harm/ abuse.
Drive Cross-Functional Partnerships - Builds and leverages formal or informal high-performing, cross-boundary partnerships. Build strategic relationships between one’s area and other teams, departments, or
organisations to achieve business goals. Use interpersonal skills, engagement skills and influence strategies to build relationships with
team members and facilitate group agreement.
Drive Efficiency – Makes decisions that ensure consistent execution of key systems and processes that make effective use of organisational resources. Delegate decision-making authority and task responsibility to ensure efficient execution of key

milestones.
Lead High Performance Work Groups - Implements a culture within organisational groups that leads to greater excellence or continuous improvement. Distribute allocated room planning time appropriately to ensure Educators have adequate time
to complete administrative and programing tasks/functions.

Communicate clear, timely information and instructions to Educators while facilitating team meetings, room programming, or group discussions.
