There are a lots of rules for using the apostropheLet's check some of them.1) we use the apostrophe where the vowel was locatedEx: Do not -Don't-2)Apostrophe shows possessionEx: Clarisse's school bag3) Apostrophe must be placed where the noun that should go was impliedEx: That was her mother's Jean not her 4)To show plural possession, make the noun plural first. Then immediatelyuse the apostrophe.

Ex: The mike's car.5) The only time an apostrophe is used for it's is when it is a contraction for it is or it has .
