Apprenticeships website
Achieve a higher education qualification whilst earning a salary and gaining skills and experience.
Higher apprenticeships lead to higher education-level qualifications, for example, HNDs and foundation degrees
Degree apprenticeships lead to either a full bachelor’s or master’s degree. Can take anywhere between four to six years to complete. Entry requirements vary programme to programme and depend on the
learner's existing skills, grades, work experience, and performance at interview.
Tuition fees are paid by the employer and the government so there is no need to take out a university loan.
Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
• Government initiative to address national skills shortages
• Target to create 3 million apprenticeships by 2020 including 60,000 degree apprenticeships
