Witness SimulationDuring the second week of September 2017, IBA hosted Dr. M. Latif from Manchester Metropolitan University, an expert on Supply Chain Simulations. He delivered a 5-Day workshop for PGD-SCM Participants. Dr. Latif, using "Witness" software, simulated the performance of an internal and then external supply chain so that complex relation-ships can be understood and opportunities for improvement can be found. IBA has acquired licenses for 'Witness' as well and will be offering customized workshops soon.

On 2nd of April 2017 a physical SCM Simulation Session was conducted by one of the highly experi-enced faculty of IBA, Mr. Ameer Rizvi – who possess more than 10 years of experience in business consulting, process analysis and business model. The simulation session was 9 hours long consisting of thought-provoking activities around understanding the "Bull-whip Effect" specifically and "Supply Chain Issues" generally. Building strong team-work was another learning outcome of this session. Participants tracked the lead times, stock-out and over-stock costs of each stage from consumer to supplier; they further forecasted the demand in non-collaborative mode in real-time scenario. This simulation session facilitated the participants to relight the understanding of market and industrial setting, and their bottlenecks. PGD-SCM program promised its participants to introduce more stimulat-ing and motivating sessions of these kinds in near future.

For achieving the objectives of the PGD-SCM Program and giving fresh direction, the third Advisory Committee Meeting was called on October 2nd, 2016. The discussion panel consisted of high profile supply chain specialists both from industry and academia. A healthy debate took place around: Administration policies of the Program; PGD-SCM Capstone Project Handbook and selected TORs; and Course Contents. Furthermore, faculty members' experiences and participants' feedback was also discussed to maintain the quality of this program. Individuals who participated as an expert were: QaysarAlam (President SCAP &Aaramshop, BoD Al-Shaheer), Hanif Ajari (Director Strategic Development, Getz Pharma), Ali Imam Qadri (Procurement Industrial Liaison, NED), Faisal Jalal (CEO, Sinofeng), Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah (HOD Supply Chain, IIL), AsadNizam-ani (Senior Manager Imports, Abbott Labs.), M.
