• We asked 30 members of the public what gender they were to see which was more interested in drama films. Our results show males were more interested in drama films as 17 males answered whereas only 13 females did.

2. WHAT AGE CATEGORY DO YOU FIT INTO?

• The results show that out of the 30 people that answered most of them fit into the age category ’16-21’ This shows drama films are popular with the 16-21 category and are least popular with 12-15 category. Our target audience is age 12-30. These results help show that young adults are more likely to watch our film, but it still appeals to the 21+ categories.

3. WHAT WOULD YOU RATE OUR SHORT FILM THE HIT? (10-HIGHEST 1-

• These results show over 50% of people thought our short film was a 7 out of 10, which is quite a good position on the scale, showing elements of our film were enjoyable and good, but for us not to get 10 some things may have been disappointing or unnecessary. One person gave our film a 3 when asked why he said it wasn’t his sort of film and he thought the storyline was too obvious.

5.WAS THE STORYLINE/PLOT CLEAR THROUGHOUT THE FILM?

• Majority of people said they thought the storyline/plot was clear throughout the film showing we had created a well thought out production. People liked that it was left on a cliff-hanger as it insinuated that there may be a sequel. However some people thought the ending in particular wasn’t clear and that it needed more thought towards it.

6.WERE THE COLOURS OF THE TITLES AND CREDITS, CLEAR AND

APPROPRIATE ?

the colours of the credits

7. WHAT IS THE STRONGEST COMPONENT OF OUR SHORT FILM?

• We asked people what the strongest component of our short film was and majority of people said the narrative. People said it has a good plot and is ‘different to normal drama films’ as it’s to do with a hit man and also that it has a twist. The next highest rated component was the beginning, people said they felt sympathetic for Mrs Jones and the tension between her and her husband made the want to keep watching.

8. WHAT IS THE WEAKEST COMPONENT OF OUR SHORT FILM?

• Results show 90% of people thought the weakest component of our short film was the names. This may have been because they names were simple and weren’t very memorable. E.g. Richard (A last name could have been given).The next weakest was the location this may have been due to the film mainly being filmed in a house. One person had said the middle was the weakest as she thought the film was a bit too predictable.

9. AS A WHOLE DOES THE FILM LOOK PROFESSIONAL?

• Results show majority of

people think our film does

look professional. There

filming was done very well

as shots were focused, clear and looked of a very high

• Results show that when

people were asked would

you recommend The Hit to

others to watch 90% of

people said they would. This

shows our production is

interesting as people would

recommend for it to be

watched. 10% of people

said they wouldn’t watch it. When asked why they said

because they prefer films

with a 15 certification.
