BLAKE MYCOSKIEBlake Mycoskie is the founder of TOMS shoes. He first had the idea of starting TOMS after taking part in the Amazing Race game show . He decided that he wanted to help children who could not afford to buy shoes. The children there we developing a foot disease as they had no money to buy shoes to protect their feet. He then decided that for every shoe sold, a pair of shoes would be donated to a child in need of shoes. He plans to donate 300 000 shoes in 2009. The design of his shoes are from the shoes and Argentine farmers wear.

The impact of Blake Mycoskie’s venture and TOMS on the problem of poverty

Blake Mycoskie’s company has give away 2 million shoes to children so far. This means that 2 million people can be saved from the horrible foot diseases and have a chance to have a pair of shoes although they are too poor to buy a pair for themselves.
