With the EPLAN Platform's Project Management tool, you can optimally integrateyour projects in your IT structure. Central access to all existing projects, structuredmanagement of project header data and project statuses simplifies the handlingand archiving of extensive project data.

In addition to the native EPLAN format, all neutral output formats such as PDF,DWG/DXF and other graphical formats are supported, making it easy and fast toexchange projects wiht any involved parties. PDF/A ensures the long-term archivingof valuable project documentation at all times. Of course, the management andworkflow organization of EPLAN projects can also be integrated into your existingPDM concept. The Project Reference module checks supplier's delivered projectsagainst reference projects for conformity to your specifications to ensure that thequality of the overall plant documentation is maintained.

Instrumentation, control & electrical systems

Professional planning and design of instrumentation & control systems for processautomation with EPLAN includes associated documentation and specifications forplant structure, PCT loops and device data. The integrated P&ID module is used tocreate plant overviews, PCT configurations and related reports. EPLAN supports easy engineering of components such aspower circuit breakers, disconnectors, grounding switches,current and potential transformers. These components arehandled very flexibly via EPLAN's parts management andvariants tools, so that different representation types aresimply implemented by a quick drag and drop from thedevice navigator on the plant documentation. High qualityplant documentation is completed by automatically gene-rated overview pages with no additional effort for theengineer. The overview can be used to see the assignmentand reference of the individual functions, thus preventingexcess use of auxiliary contacts.

Secondary devices (Protection relays)
