The Cathedral
• The Cathedral of Saint Mary is located in Girona, Spain.
• The Cathedral was completed in the 18th century.
The stairway
• Before come in into the cathedral you have to go up 90 steps
The Nave
• It’s the widest nave in the world with a withd of 22 meters.
The bell tower
• The Bell tower is at the right corner of the façade. It has 6 bells.
• At the top of the bell tower there is an angel called Miquel.
The bells
• There are 6 bells.• The most
important is called Beneta.
• It has got about 4.800kg
The Façade
• In the façade you can see many escultures of the 7 saints.
• There is a big rose window.
• There is a big door too.
The Cloister
• It’s a romanesque cloister.
• In the middle of the cloister you can see a well.
• There are lots of columns.
• At one corner there is a source.
• You can find 2 very importants sepulchres.
The Charlemagne tower
• The Charlemagne tower is one of the buttress of the cloister.
• It has many windows.
The witch
• It’s a gargoyle• It is in one of the
walls of the cathedral.
• The legend says that she throw stones and her punishment was converting in stone
The Cathedral museum
• In The cathedral there is a museum.
• You can find the trapestry of cretion.
• You can see lots of old and important things.
