VOLVO PENTA IPS JOYSTICK

Just move the joystick and the boat reacts accordingly sideways,

diagonally, forward, or rotate. From now on, docking is a relaxed and

fun experience!

The joystick is an option for Volvo Penta IPS-powered boats. It

uses the ordinary engines and individually steerable drive units.

Sophisticated and specially developed software transforms the drivers

joystick commands to boat movements. New for this year is the

Docking station option a stand-alone joystick.

LOW-SPEED MODE

With the low-speed mode for IPS and inboard shafts you reduce boat

speed when idling by 50 to 75 % an invaluable help in tight spots or

when fishing.

The low-speed mode is totally integrated so that you control your

boat in gear from almost standstill up to full speed with the same lever.

This gives seamless operation with the standard controls for easy

driving.

SPOrT fISh MODE

New for this year, exclusive to Volvo Penta IPS and especially

developed for big-game fishing. When the sport fish mode is engaged,

the drive units point toe-out. The helmsman can then turn the stern

in the direction of the fish to ensure a successful catch.

POWErTrIM ASSISTANT

Your Aquamatic drive trims automatically for a safer, more comfortable

ride, rapid acceleration and high top speed. It also means better fuel

economy and lower overall exhaust emissions!

The drive is trimmed in during accelleration to get you quicker onto

the plane and then gradually trimmed out at higher engine rpm. You

get perfect visibility and a comfortable ride. Fully manual override is

available at any time.

ELECTrONIC ShIfT AND ThrOTTLE

Upgrade your mechanically controlled engine to electronic shift and

throttle! You get smooth shifting and immediate response to throttle

commands. The CAN-bus technology means plug-and-play installation

for single or twin engines, plus the possibility to have multiple helm

stations. Safety is high and maintenance minimal thanks to features

such as composite casings, cables and connectors designed for use in

marine environments, and start-in-gear protection. Fits most engines with

mechanical shift and throttle.

STEErING (07)

We offer reliable mechanical and hydraulic systems to fit most inboard

demands. Both systems with adjustable steering wheel and no feedback

functions so the steering is not affected by forces such as waves etc.

WINDLASS (08)

Especially designed for use with leadline, which has all the benefits of a

chain but is easier to handle and to stow away. The unique active pressure

roller takes away the problem of anchorline slippage and gives perfect

reliability. Available for bow or stern mounting with optional anchor holders.

Remote control is also available.

BOAT TrIM SYSTEM (09)

Perfect control over attitude and heel with rapid response, quicker

to the plane, lower fuel consumption and a more comfortable ride.

Thats what you get from the patented QL Boat Trim System thanks

to water intercept technology with vertical blades. Fits boats from 15 to

50 feet, one or multiple helm stations with speeds up to 50 knots.

The fully logical control is very user-friendly; the buttons correspond

to a desired boat movement and the system achieves it.

The blades are automatically retracted at engine shut-off, reducing risk

of damage and marine growth.

NEW! AUTOMATIC BOAT TrIM SYSTEM (10)

Automatic boat trim gives you perfect performance and ride comfort

automatically. Trim the boat manually to your preferred attitude and

press the A button. Now the boat attitude is stored in the system

memory even if power is shut off. The automatic boat trim takes over

the trim job and keeps the boats attitude.

It automatically compensates for changes in speed, wind or people

moving about onboard. It also senses changes in course, and does not

compensate for heeling in turns.

You can easily override the auto mode at any time and operate the

trim manually.

The new automatic boat trim takes care of your boat trim while you are cruising! The system directly registers any changes and the interceptor blades quickly get the boat in the desired position.

BOW AND STErN ThrUSTErS

A complete, high-quality range that is one of the most popular among

boat builders and boat owners. The hydrodynamic design, propeller

performance and efficient transmission give you maximum manoeuvr-

ing power. Built-in safety functions such as overheating protection and

direction switch delay mean you can trust them to operate when you

need them.

The thrusters are easy to operate and you can choose between joy-

stick (14), lever/button and touch panel (15) for single or multiple helms.

CT compact bow thruster (11). The CT600 and CT900 thrusters are

efficient, easy to install and require almost no maintenance all in a

smaller package.

Simple and quick drop-in installation Minimal maintenance thanks

to no oil in underwater unit, few moving parts and no anodes required

Stern thruster (1). Installed in combination with a bow thruster the

1 INSTRUMENTATION

INSTRUMENTATIONThe information you want, at up to four different places onboard. Including new trip computer functions

Volvo Penta instruments are developed exclusively for the EVC system. A guarantee for accurate

readings and high reliability. Furthermore they are easy to read day and night, thanks to double glazing

and sophisticated lighting.

EVC CAN-BUS-BASED PLATFORM

EVC Electronic Vessel Control is Volvo Pentas electronic platform

based on CAN-bus technology. It is the base for the instrumentation and

gives dramatically improved driver information compared to conventional

instrumentation. It also means that all information is transmitted in one

single cable. Installation is plug-and-play, which means it is easy to add

instruments at a later time.

TRIP COMPUTER FUNCTIONS

Just as in your car, you can now have advanced trip computer functions

in your boat! Trip distance, average speed and not least instant fuel

consumption and remaining fuel range to help you plan your driving. The

system is extremely flexible and the functions you get depend on which

software and senders you choose. Data can be displayed in the tachometer,

EVC-display or a compatible chart plotter.

ONBOARD WATER SYSTEMWe can supply everything you need to get a just-like-home onboard

water system. Water heaters that are integrated with the hot water outlet

on the engine and designed for the engines capacity.

WASH PUMPSJust what the caring boat owner always wanted: high-pressure water in a

hose! No more bucketing to wash the decks, anchor, ropes etc. Just bring

out the hose, open the nozzle and see the dirt get washed away.

FLExI PUMPSThese pumps have many applications, including emptying/filling of water,

oil, diesel, as well as bilge pumping, water circulation etc. There is also a

special toilet pump.

AIR HEATERThis one works just like the heating in your car. Perfectly integrated with

your engine, it makes use of the excess heat produced by the engine

and converts it to heated air which is distributed in the cabin, and can

be used as a defroster. This quickly makes the cabin both

warm and dry, and the windshield fog-free.
