Giving electricity access to areas where electricity was never available is a unique opportunity to design the electricity services of tomorrow.
Thanks to digital and smart grid technologies, Power:On sells tailor-made, pre-paid electricity contracts to its customers who can then monitor and control their electricity consumption directly on their mobile phones, receive customized energy efficiency tips, special offers matching their profiles...
We have raised €50k to implement this pilot project. We are now seeking €200k in bridge capital in the form of grants or subsidies to launch it with full capacity

Tristan, HEC Paris Alumni, is passionate about social entrepeneurship and is convinced it holds the solution to bring electricity access to the 1.3 billion people who currently lack it. He built on previous work experience in the energy and humanitarian fields, on his interest for coding and new technologies as well as on solid, reliable and committed partners in Benin to start Power:On.

Power:On is the dedicated electricity supplier of isolated villages in developing countries, taking advantage of local, renewables such as solar energy.We are working on the electrification of Igbérè, Benin. This first project will allow the village 3,000 inhabitants to dramatically improve their living conditions and to save significant amounts of money on their current energy expenditures.But overall, electricity will allow local entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and trigger sustainable and lasting economic development in the region.
We have already filed 140 pre-orders for our electricity services as of February 2015 (over 93% of total potential clients). The project can thus be launched very quickly.
More innovative energy services will be developed shortly.
Our mission: clean electricity to power local development
This pilot project aims at demonstrating our value proposition and the viability of our models. Our 3 years ambition is to implement 100 projects in Benin and in the Sub-Region.
