Redington Foundation is associated with ePalmleaf ITES Private Limited.,

head-quartered in Bangalore, promoted by a group of Chartered

Accountants and Engineers with over 100 years of combined work

experience in corporate houses. They are an NSDC partner in BFSI space.

They offer Artha Vidhya Business Accounting Process (BAP) Program

which equip students with practical, hands-on skills in practical business

accounting and finance, as required by the industry.

We associated with ePalmleaf in the year 2016 and continuously offering

the Artha Vidhya training program in our Smart Learning centres for the

Commerce graduates who are economically challenged. The course offers

them the practical knowledge on business accounting and finance and

enables them to acquire a job with the acquired skills.

This training program was provided as Summer Special Training Program

at Thiruvalluvar College, Papanasam, Tirunelveli, for the commerce

students. The duration of the course is 60 hours.

Artha Vidhya redefines skill development training by its innovative concept

of VIRTUAL OFFICE. The course is conducted online.

A special feature of this course is that the students will be prepared to

work as a finance person in the virtual office, carrying out various

transactions in a simulated environment. It helps users in understanding

the finance process step by step and documentation requirements to

complete multiple and complex corporate transactions.

The Artha Vidhya course is a GST compliant course. GST learning module

help the students to understand the concepts of GST

implications & its structure with adequate examples. Students will carry

out GST based transactions while working in the virtual office. Upon

completion of the course, the student would have aquired hands on

experience on the application of the accounting concepts that is required in

a corporate environment.

Mr. Jayaram, Territory Manager, ePalmleaf ITES, gave the first day

orientation for the program. He explained the Virtual Office concept to the

students. The session was followed with an orientation about Auditing by

Ms. Anandhi, a well-known auditor at Ambai.

THIRUNELVELI ZONE SUCCESS

STORIES @Sarada college

A placement drive was arranged and conducted for our ESLC

students of Sri Sarada College for Women, Tirunelveli on 12th May

2018. Mr. Eswar and Ms. Maheswari from E-care company visited

the college and conducted Written Exam and Personal Interview. Nine

Out of 18 participants were shortlisted by the employer . At the end

of the session, an orientation about the company and the requisites

for the students to join the job was presented. We really appreciate

the support of the management of Sri Sarada College for making the

event a great success.

Another placement Drive was conducted for the Montessori Teacher

training program students on 10th May 2018 in Sri Sarada College

for Women. The College Secretary Ambaji started the event by

lighting the lamp. Dignitaries from Muthamil Public School, IIPE

Laxmi Raman School and Chinmaya School participated as the

employers of the placement drive. After the orientation was given by

the officials of the schools, the face to face interview process was

started.3

Empowering The YouthYouth Meet – Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan

Redington Foundation is sharp-eyed to find the opportunities for the

growth of the youth group of our society. Our foundation staff have go -

getter attitude to find the opportunities rather than waiting for it. Due to

such an approach an Youth Meet was conducted at Madurai centre on

21st April 2018 with youth force of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan is an organisation established in the year

1972 with the objective of providing rural youth avenues to take part in

the process of nation building as well providing opportunities for the

development of their personality and skills. In the year 1987-88, Nehru

Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) was set up as an autonomous

organization under the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and

Sports, to oversee working of these Kendras. In Madurai region they are

working around 8 blocks.

We approached the organisation with an aim to campaign our services to

them, so as we can target the youth group of the organisation. As the

organisation has a wide range of network in the nearby villages we also

perceived that approaching them will help the rural development of the

youth group.

As presumed, the rural youth

also showed interest in finding

out if our services matches any

of their requirement for their

career development. As a

result, totally 31 youth from

Melur, Valayankulam,

Nagamalai, T.Pudhupatti,

Vandiyur participated in the

meeting.

We saw an active participation of the crowd in the question and

answer session where the youth got clarified all their doubts with

Mr. Murugan and Mr. Divakar. They were also requested to spread

the information about our free services to their villages.

At the end of the program four participants enrolled for Montessori

Teacher Training program and one for Artha Vidhya training program.

We expect to associate with the Nehru Yuva Kendra for many more

prospective endeavours and we also believe that together we can achieve

more as the objective of the organisations is to create a difference in the

education and economical status of the rural youth.

Mr. Murugan, Project Lead and Mr. Divakar, Project Coordinator

addressed the youth with a welcome note followed by an

introductory session where the participants introduced themselves

with respect to their education and family background.

Furthermore Mr. Murugan explained them about the services

rendered by our foundation.

Montessori Training for Anganvadi School Teachers

Anganvadi is the second home for rural children of India. It was started

in the year 1985 by the Indian Government to combat child hunger and

malnutrition which is a part of Indian Public Healthcare System. Basic

health care activities include contraceptive counselling and supply,

nutrition education and supplementation, as well as pre-school activities

are provided in Anganvadi.

Redington Foundation with association with Tirunelveli District

Administration, conducting the Montessori Training Program under the

“New Wings” project for the teachers of the Anganvadi Centres of the

Tirunelveli district. 25 teachers per batch from a particular Village are

attending the training program. It is a 10 days program conducted in the

our Smart Learning Centre of Sri Saradha College. So far two batches

have been conducted.

The teachers are trained on the various aspects of the Early Childhood

Care and Education by the trainers of DhayaDheeksha, which is a

leading and first International Montessori Training institute affiliated

to Bharat Sevak Samaj, based at Coimbatore.

The training imparts the importance of the early childhood care and

education and the method of care and teaching through understanding the

significance of the learning at preschool age and by also understanding the

child psychology.

The program also covers the Administrative level tasks learning and

effective communication training which will help the trainees for the self

career growth.

The program involves the assignments, Seminars, Project / Model making,

Album making, Group Discussions, Role Plays, Case Study and etc.

We invited our honourable District Collector, Tmt. Shilpa Prabhar Satish,

I.A.S., for our first batch certification Ceremony. She appreciated

Redington Foundation for providing the Childcare and Education program,

to the Anganvadi Teachers which will bring a betterment in the centres

and the children.

Redington Foundation and Tirunelveli Administration strongly believes

that the training will bring a significant change in the childcare and

education at the Anganvadi centres in and around Tirunelveli. We would

also wish to conduct the training program for the Anganvadi Teachers of

other regions in future.
