• Need was identified
• Work item requested and Task Group formed to
create/design standard within Subcommittee F17.60
• Draft standard was balloted to every member of F17.60
• Once approved in F17.60, ballot was sent to the Main
F17 committee
• Initial publication in 2011. Revisions in: 2011, 2011,
2014, 2015.
