Ismail Azam professional experiences include working with Halliburton (Operations/Well Site) and Res Lab Abu Dhabi/partner of Badley Ashton U.K. Responsibilities encompassed All core analysis operations and petrophysical analysis of reservoir Rocks, Conventional and Scal.In the field Mr. Azam has supervision of rig site and all lab activities. Report writing including in-terpretation of geological analysis, professional Petrography.

With Qatar Petroleum (Oil and Gas Ventures Technical Services Dept had various roles in Op-erations,Wellsite, Petroleum development division and Geology Study Team. The latter had Azam doing Coring/Core analysis, and Reservoir Characterization of rocks. As a Schlumberger staff, Ismail directed and participated in Operations, Planning and business development, rig site visit for witness job, QA/QC of data, data processing, OH and CH Log in-terpretation and analysis, project management. Core with Geomechanics Analysis, working closely with other disciplines to get commercial objectives, involve in technology development, actively involved with field engineers and PTE engineers, Client Visit and Presentation, mentor and give training to newly hired trainee and operating company employee, Involve and imple-ment the safety environment and quality policies of the company (QHSE issues). Worked on static and dynamic data, Reservoir data gathered from the drilling operation are continuously integrated in geologic models to improve the development in close teamwork with reservoir en-gineers.

Several tours of service with Schlumberger, we have this experience for our service.Schlumberger Logleco Inc Cairo working as a Senior Bore hole Geologist and dealing with Op-erations with different Oil and Gas Operating Companies. Ensure that proper interpretation and processing methods are being used, and that routine training in Log QC and interpretation is being provided. Responsibilities includes MSD, Structural and Stratigraphic Analysis, Fracture Analysis, Depositional environment/System/ Orientation/Paleocurrent flow etc. Perform 3D res-ervoir modeling using the Petrel software.

• Reservoir/Facies Analysis and interpretation, thin beds, permeability trends and barriers, faults and fracture analysis, vugs, bore hole geometry, in-situ stress orientation. Responsible for the Reservoir characterization and field development.

• Interpretation of OH (open hole) and CH (cased hole) logs. Involve in Petroleum Development, Wellsite Geology and Quality Evaluation.

• Support development planning and execution as an anchor person in an integrated team structure.• Improve the understanding of the reservoirs and optimize the development through study of field data.• Lead and develop an integrated team of 6 to 8 Geoscience/Geologist team of Schlumberger of different

As Team Leader and Senior Geologist and Project Co coordinator for Coring &Core Analysis Dept (CCA), Weatherford/ Emirates Link Res Lab - Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

For five years Mr. Azam was responsible for all the geological, petrophysical and petrographical studies of the Reservoir Rocks. Supervise and coordinate all the rig site activities including all operations and coring job. Responsibilities involved core processing (selection of plugs and whole cores for routine and scal studies), installation and calibration analysis and up to final well report. Involve in All CCA/SCAL (Conventional Core Analysis/Special Core Analysis studies). Core fixing project for Saudi Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, Total Fina and Shell.

Compare wire line logs with core data. Carried out detailed description on sediment logical characterization on slabbed core and plugs. Report writing (including interpreta-tion of geological analysis).

Reservoir characterization, petrography studies preparation and analysis (Thin Section, Dry and Cryogenic SEM and XRD analysis). Worked on different equipments as how to analyze and calculate the porosity, permeability, grain density and oil and water satura-tion data. Involved in QA/QC of data and data generation and final report.

Capillary pressure & pore throat size distribution by (MICP) worked on overburden measurement of plugs on dif-ferent Reservoir Pressures.

Report generation (final well report) of all the geological and petrophysical data their infor-mation studies and later on report to the client after com-pletion of job.

Nine years as Well Site Geologist/Mud Logging Geologist, Sperry Sun Drilling Services (A Halliburton Company)Houston/Dubai- U.A.E Region. Mr. Azam as Well-site Geologist/Geologist (Mud Logging) for different operating oil and gas companies in Asia Pacific, Gulf and African Region. On site and hand on, Ismail per-forms all drilling geological and rig site duties on exploration, ap-praisal and development and data wells as assigned. Provides ad-visory support and geological guidance to drilling division through their representative on rig site.

Ensures fulfillment of drilling, geological/reservoir requirements and fully implementations of well programs. On rig site work with verti-cal, deviated, horizontal and multilateral wells with different tools used for drilling and logging the well.( LWD, MWD/Well Place-ment). Monitor continuously all drilling activity and gather data generated from the logging unit. Well trajectory data, to steer the well on their target to get maximum reservoir. Involved in identifying litho stratigraphic formation boundaries, casing setting depths and coring points.

Description of cuttings and core and oil shows on well site, forma-tion evaluation and well data correlation, monitoring of hydrocarbons/H2S, all these data to be reported to the Operation Geologist and Company Man. on site supervision of the mud log-ging unit, installation operations and maintenance of different drill-ing sensors and networking of the systems and QC of all the off-shore and on shore units.

Azam was responsible for operating computerized logging unit in both onshore and offshore environments in the safest manner pos-sible (HSE Issues), providing client personnel with accurate and timely data products and daily written reports, evaluating all forma-tions penetrated and immediately reporting any hydrocarbon shows monitoring all aspects of rig operations and down hole conditions, immediately reporting any suspected unsafe conditions and keep-ing rig personnel apprised of such conditions.

He manages and provides technical support to rig site and to the mud logger and Geologist working on the rig site. Conducted sev-eral trainings to locals’ trainees and expacts on rig site in GCC and Asian Countries. Specially drilling, mud logging, geological, petro physical studies and technologies.

The scope of work plan is based on PPC management techniques to control field activi-ties and selection of qualified subcontractors.

Our Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for all activities on the site. It is essen-tial to maintain a tight control on all workers employed in the project effort. Additional staff, reporting to the CM will be used when necessary to provide the level of control reuired to monitor subcontractor performance. The CM will pre-qualify subcontractor performance. The CM will pre-qualify subcontractors with regard to safety record, past expertise, past performance, size of company and business philosophy. He will assist the owner in bid evaluation, pre-award clarification meeting and award of contract.

The CM is responsible for safety, budget, schedule and performance of the subcontrac-tor, client reviews, verification of all billings versus a weighted work percent complete and ultimate start-up and performance of the project.
