Innovations For The Better Life: A Gen-next Approach

Presented by:

Hina SaxenaB.Tech 3rd year (ECE)

Science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind.

We have seen great leaps in digital technology in past the past five years.

•  Smartphones, Cloud Computing, Multi touch Tablets these are all innovations that revolutionized the way we live and work.

• However, believe it or not, we are just getting started. Technology will get even better. In the future, we could live like how people in science fiction movies did.

• Our presentation is about  upcoming, real-life products that is set to revolutionize the world as we know it.

Get ready to dive into the virtual world, and interact with them. Come unfold the future with us.

Welcome to the world through Glass: “Google Glass”

• Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) that is being developed by Google in the Project Glass research and development project.

• Theoretically, with Google Glass, you are able to view social media feeds, text, Google Maps, as well as navigate with GPS and take photos. You will also get the latest updates while you are on the ground.

Ask whatever in your mind

Google Driverless Car The Google driverless car is powered by artificial

intelligence that utilizes the input from the video cameras inside the car, a sensor on the vehicle’s top, and some radar and position sensors attached to different positions of the car.

Sounds like a lot of effort to mimic the human intelligence in a car, but so far the system has successfully driven thousands of kilometres without human commands.

Google's self-driving Prius and Lexus cars are safer than humans driving cars, according to the leader of Google's

autonomous-car project.

Wing-suit Flying

“Have you ever wanted to leave the ground and soar like a bird -- or perhaps a bat?”

Wing-suit flying or wing-suiting is the sport of flying the human body through the air using a special jumpsuit, called a wing-suit, which adds surface area to the human body to enable a significant increase in lift.

Have you ever just wished you could lift your pen off the paper and see your

drawing become a real three dimensional object? Well now you can!

•The 3Doodler is a 3D printing pen utilizes plastic thread made of either acrylonitrile butadiene styrene ("ABS") or poly-lactic acid ("PLA") that is melted and then cooled through a patented process while moving through the pen, which can then be used to make 3D objects by hand.

• A smart-watch is a computerized wristwatch with functionality that is enhanced beyond timekeeping, and is often comparable to a personal digital assistant (PDA) device. It doesn't only tell you the right time, it also

talks to your iPhone, alerts you about new email or an appointment.

• Such device may include feature as a Camera, Accelerometer, Thermometer, Chronograph, Touch screen, GPS navigation, Speaker, Scheduler, SD cards that are recognized as mass storage devices and rechargeable battery.

The Morning Multi-Tasker

• The problem with laptops and tablets is that they’re confined by a screen.

• The need is to turn the entire room into a monitor, where you can have the news on your kitchen table while you place a video call on your fridge. And when you’re done, you can swipe everything away.

New technology developed by a group at the Nanyang Technological University allows any surface to become a digital touch screen.

The technology uses sensors and web cameras to pick up contact, even a light

touch on the surface.

Artificial IntelligenceYet lot more is still to be revealed in this

world full of unknown possibilities.
