Hello St. Clair Shores Sail & Power Squadron members and friends!
I just do not want to believe it's almost September. But, we still havesome time to enjoy our beautiful sunshine!
I truly enjoyed our rendezvous' and getting together with everyone.Bob Jr. and Jessica did a great job cooking at Sunset! Thanks to Garyand Louise for setting up dinghy poker run at Idle Hour. Many thanksto all who helped during the picnic (especially Chef Ted and Vicki), theSt. Clair Shores Parade, the Shores-Pointe triathlon, the SCS fire¬works, the Poker fundraiser event (especially Dennis Blaga), the upcoming Gull Island trip, and all our Rendezvous. Finally, we can all look forward to finishing it off with Frostbitealong with the Boat Show on the same weekend! Much appreciation to Linda for keepingus all informed and don't forget to send her your pictures! Bob and I also attended othersquadron events. What a busy... but great summer!
We will also meet for our September general membership meeting on the 5th, dinner @6:30...meeting will be @ 7:30. We are meeting at the St. Clair Shores Golf Course (see en¬closed flier). Hope everyone can make it! If we want to hold on to this facility it will take agroup effort! Please make every effort to attend. Unfortunately, Bob and I will not be atthe September meeting as we are attending the 2013 USPS Governing Board Conventionbeing held at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas.
Don't forget about the upcoming Fall Conference on October 11, 2013, The theme is"Then and Now" and we are looking for volunteers and great suggestions.

Dear Members:
It's not quite the end of summer yet, although some of those fall days feltlike it. There are still some great events left on the calendar. We still
have the always entertaining Frostbite Cruise, along with Gull Island overLabor Day.I have spoken to a few members who are going to Gull Island on the Sundayof Labor Day weekend and spending the night. Feel free to join us for toesin the sand and a bonfire!!!! If you have some extra wood for the fire feelfree to bring it out. Also, we need to all try and get some additional members for the Squad¬ron. Please feel free to pass along invites to rendezvous and meetings to
any potential members you speak with. If you let Linda know that a potential member(s) willbe at a meeting she can pass that information on so we can make them feel right at home.

Hi All,
It's hard to believe but we're coming into home stretch with this summer's
boating activities.
I know a good time was had by all who attended our rendezvous events this
year- Idle Hour, Fireworks, Metro, Sunset- they were all a blast. Thanks
to everyone who participated and helped out- we have a great group! Wehave two more events coming up- Gull Island Frostbite. See flyers for
details. Hope to see you there.
Also- Kudos to P/C Bob for again organizing and managing the kayak coursefor the July Shore/Pointe Triathlon held at Blossom Heath. It's a big event (over 200 kayak-ers) that depends on SCSSPS to set up, monitor, and insure the safety of participants on thecourse. Congrats to Bob, Bonnie and all helping members for a great job!
