THE LEADING

Android and Linux SupportThe Discretix Multi-Scheme DRM Client is designed to address the security vulnerabilities of open operating systems. The client supports all versions of Android as well as multiple Linux flavors including MeeGo and native Linux. For Android-based devices, the client includes full integration with Android media framework (Stagefright) and enables immediate platform bring up and DRM awareness of all multimedia applications. For native Linux devices, the Discretix API allow quick integration with the customer-specific media framework, such as GStreamer and others. Discretix also provides a PlayReady® client for versions of Windows Embedded CE without built-in support.

DRM PROVIDER ON ANDROID DEVICES

Implementation and DeliverablesDiscretix provides compiled binaries of the Multi-Scheme DRM supporting PlayReady®, including Microsoft®’s PlayReady® device porting kit. Detailed documentation includes release notes, an integration guide, building instructions and an API help file. Discretix provides its DRM client, compiled to the customer’s tool chain and platform. Discretix provides the customer with all of the tools and knowledge in order to customize its applications and UI.

For Android-based devices, Discretix provides modified, DRM-aware Java reference code of the native Android applications, as well as application and UI specification documentation. For Linux-based devices, Discretix provides reference code for the GStreamer media framework.In order to ensure seamless integration, Discretix provides access to extended test suite containing a full range of protected content and licenses. The test suite is available to customers and related 3rd party vendors throughout the duration of the implementation.
