Dr. J. Raghavendra Rao who worked as a Medical Officer in Richardson Leprosy Hospital- Miraj,

passed away on 22nd September 2012. May God, bring comfort and peace to the bereaved

family.

The training of Medical Officers on leprosy that was conducted in our center during the last week

of September in co-operation with the District Leprosy office. Pray that this activity would

continue and that the leprosy work in the region would be strengthened.

1. The Reconstructive Surgery Camp scheduled to be held from 17 – 21 October. Pray for the

surgeon, the medical team and patients.

2. Though it is monsoon time, still we have not received any rain. As this might affect the water

facility at the center, pray for good rains during the season.

3. Mr. Venkatesan who is suffering from ENL reaction.

4. All leprosy patients for their leprosy complication.

4. Santosh & Rakesh admitted for thalidomide treatment, are sick and depressed (at present 11

patients are taking thalidomide treatment)

1. The orientation program for volunteers held at Kothara and 65 volunteers participated from 6

NGO's working around this area.

2. New staff - Dr. Shital Ingale (Medical Officer) and Ms. Meena Chand (Staff Nurse), for help in

adjusting in new place and work environment.

3. The Reconstructive Surgery and general surgery camp held from 17th to 20th of Sept - 24

RCS & 8 general surgeries. Total 32 patients were benefited.

1. Fund raising program of the hospital and enriching partnerships with different churches in

and round this area.

2. The new academic year of Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology course in the hospital and pray

for 1st year student Deepak Pawar who joined this course.

3. The planned medical / eye camps in this month.

individual patients and staff was very much encouraging. His visit to Gandihgram Kust Aashram

(Leprosy Colony) and distribution of CTY Scholorship to 15 school children living with their

parents(leprosy patients) was a great help and encouragement for better future.

1. Mr. Stephen Soren, meet with accident and had head injury but not so severe. He is under

treatment at present. Pray for his complete recovery.

2. Husband of Mrs.Sosan Stephen, MRDK who is retired NMS undergone surgery for fourth time

and pray for complete healing

3. Mrs. Laxmi Sharan, ANM hositalized in Kurji Holy Family Hospital, Patna need to undergo for

surgery but due to other complications

4. Miss Sujata Karmakar, GNM lost her mother this month, God may grant grace, peace and

strength to her entire family members.

All retired staffs of TLMTI who have contributed enormously to the growth of TLM. Few of them

have spent their entire career and some even their entire life for the mission. Pray that God grant

Old and frail patients who do not have a home to go back and are neglected by family members

are taken care in different centres by TLM and the partners. TLM has five Snehalayas at different

TLM centres (Almora,Bankura,Faizabad,Naini and Purulia).

Pray for the old patients and those who take care of them. Pray that the social stigma attached to

leprosy will be removed and the relatives will receive them.

work will be effective in bringing restoration, development and transformation to communities.

2. The self care groups started among the leprosy affected people by the hospitals and projects

all the hospitals and centers.
