Your financial aid package will reflect both your
personal needs and your academic achievement.
Here, it’s all personal.
Because we’re a small college, you and your family speak directly with our
Financial Aid Director, who will personally explore with you all available
funding sources. You will work one-on-one with an experienced, friendly
professional who knows your needs and wants to help.
A typical financial aid package. Your package
might include a scholarship and/or grant from
the school and a self-help component of
student loans and a campus job through the
federal work-study program. You will be con-
sidered for all sources of PrattMWP financial
aid for which you qualify.
Financial need. Anyone may apply for financial
aid. Awards are based on each family’s ability
to pay. Your family contribution is based
on income, assets and benefits. You are also
expected to pursue financial assistance
available from governmental and other sources.
Scholarships. Scholarships are based on
merit. After you have been accepted to
PrattMWP, the Scholarship Committee will look
at your portfolio, GPA and SAT (or ACT) scores
to determine if you are eligible for one of
our scholarships.
Additional awards. In addition to the merit
scholarships, all students are considered for
special awards from our endowment. Grant
amounts range up to $1,500 .
Federal College Work Study Program. This is
a federally-assisted plan that offers eligible
students a chance to earn money for educational
expenses. These funds are paid directly to you
for campus job assignments and are not
deducted from your tuition bill. You will be
required to submit time sheets and complete
all necessary employment forms.
